Founded in 1961 as a vehicle for promoting Italian furniture and furnishings exports, the Salone Internazionale del Mobile is the international reference point for the furnishing and design sector.

Salone del Mobile: the first trade show in the world to have been the subject of an exhibition - London’s Victoria & Albert Museum
2002 the Victoria & Albert Museum celebrated the inauguration of its new contemporary art wing called Contemporary Space with “Milan in a Van”, curated by Gareth Williams, Acting Deputy Curator of the V&A and specialist in 20th-century and contemporary design, who defined the Salone a hybrid of the Edinburgh Festival, Paris Fashion Week, the Venice Biennale and the Cannes Film Festival.
Salone Internazionale del Mobile: included among the list of 50 paragons of “Italian excellence” - Wallpaper
2002 the internationally renowned magazine Wallpaper included the Salone, along with Federico Fellini and the Tower of Pisa, among its list of 50 paragons of “Italian excellence”, under the title of “A village of design, it leads where others follow.
Cosmit: first prize for poster for Euroluce 2005 - International Fair Poster Competition
2005 At the 9th International Fair Poster Competition in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, first prize to Cosmitfor its poster for Euroluce 2005, designed by Studio Cerri & Associati, assigned by UFI (Global Association of the Exhibition Industry)
